Make her feel sexy again

The time-pressures of work, children and home may leave her with little time for herself. In fact, one of the biggest complaints of young mum's is that they just don't have time to take care of themselves and worry about how they look. Knowing you look good makes you feel great and sexy.

Catching a glimpse of herself looking tired, bedraggled and frumpy is enough to dent any girl's self-image. Help her restore hers by encouraging some much needed "me time" in the bathroom. Get her in the bath with enough potions and lotions to pamper, preen and polish herself to perfection. She'll emerge renewed, relaxed and rejuvenated and looking (and most importantly feeling) ravishing! If money's no object, pack her off to a spa with a best-friend for the weekend.

Find time for yourselves

Let's face it, having children turns your world upsidedown. Once you were free-spirits without a care in the world (except the paying rent), spontaneous, hedonistic and dedicated to each other. Now, however, you are responsible parents and probably slaves to routine and barely together alone for a minute. It's going to be like that for quite some time. That doesn't mean you can't steal some of that old magic back for a weekend, a night or just an hour or two. But, it requires planning and how often do you leave that all up to her?

Surprise her then, by organising something for just the two of you all by yourself. Book the baby sitters and make all the necessary arrangements to get some quality time together. It could be a restaurant, the theatre, a pop concert, a city break somewhere or just packing the kids off to the in-laws for a day or two. Just make sure it's just the two of you, for once, again!

Ease her load

When you've had a hard day at work the temptation is to kick back and let her do everything. You are knackered, after all. But, guess what? So is she! So, get in there and be helpful. You'll soon find that instead of spending the evening in front of the TV on your tod, she'll be there with you. And, who knows what could happen then... a spot of massage or a little seduction maybe?!

You could take bigger steps still. What's that saying, "If men had to do the washing, the washing machine would have be invented a century earlier" - or something like that. Maybe, you could reduce her workload and yours and find more time to spend together by buying that dishwasher?! Don't give it as a gift though, because you'll go down as the biggest sexist pig on the planet if you do!

Shower her with affection

From small acorns mighty oaks grow and so it is with your relationship. A compliment here, the odd surprise there and little gift now and then can really make it flourish and ensure you stand rock-solid against the pressures of modern life.

Compliments are easy, when you notice something, instead of just thinking it, say it! Of course, if you're thinking "Phwarr" it would be better if you could articulate that in a more sensitive and female friendly fashion like, "You look amazing darling".

Surprises could be something free like washing her car for her (if you don't normally do it) or leaving a little love note somewhere. Or, you could try a surprise gift or a bouquet of flowers or a box of chocolates (all of which you can buy at pressies4princesses, as it happens).

Do a little something in any of these four areas and the results could really surprise you. This kind of stuff is an investment really. What you sow you'll reap ten times over, both through her appreciation and your shared happiness. After all, that's why you hitched up in the first place, isn't it?
