Not surprisingly, the Ginkgo has become a symbol of longevity and has a long history of uses in Chinese medicine. It's distinctive leaf is a living fossil. It first shows up in the English fossil record at 160million years old! Here this ancient, unique species is turned to lead-free pewter. A delicate pendant for the wood nymph within her.
